Orrin Woodward: Liberty

Today citizens all over Iraq experienced the thrill of freedom and liberty.  Some 70% of Iraqi's braved terrorist threats and years of oppression to cast a ballot in today's election.  Despite what some may say, people all over the world thirst for freedom.  Iraq proved no less hungry.  So it's hats off to Iraqi's who faced their fears and seized the day embracing freedom and embarking on a bright future.

Orrin Woodward: Quote of Trust

If there is one thing that I have learned about Orrin Woodward it is that his word is as good as gold.  Orrin often says your word is your worth.  Here is a great quote from former head of Homeland Security Tom Ridge on leadership and  the importance of  trust.

"You have to enable and empower people to make     decisions independent of you.  As I've learned, each person on a team     is an extension of your leadership; if they feel empowered by you they will     magnify your power to lead.  Trust is a great force multiplier."

Orrin Woodward: Facing Adversity

Orrin Woodward has overcome many things in life.  Orrin continues to persevere while teaching others the valuable lessons of over coming obstacles en route to success.  Here is a great story.

Shake It Off

A parable is told of a farmer who owned an old mule.

The mule fell into the farmer's well. The farmer heard the mule 'braying' -or- whatever mules do when they fall into wells.

After carefully assessing the situation, the farmer sympathized with the mule, but decided that neither the mule nor the well was worth the trouble of saving.

Instead, he called his neighbors together and told them what had happened and enlisted them to help haul dirt to bury the old mule in the well and put him out of his misery. Initially, the old mule was hysterical.

But as the farmer and his neighbors continued shoveling and the dirt hit his back  a thought struck him. It suddenly dawned on him that every time a shovel load of dirt landed on his back  He should shake it off and step up.

This he did, blow after blow. "Shake it off and step up, shake it off and step up, shake it off and step up," He repeated to encourage himself. No matter how painful the blows, or how distressing the situation seemed the old mule fought panic and just kept right on Shaking it off and stepping up.

It wasn't long before the old mule, battered and exhausted, stepped triumphantly over the wall of that well. What seemed like it would bury him, actually blessed him all because of the manner in which he handled his adversity.

That's life. If we face our problems and respond to them positively, and refuse to give in to panic, bitterness, or self-pity

The adversities that come along to bury us usually have within them the potential to benefit and bless us.

Remember that Forgiveness, Faith, Prayer, Praise and Hope all are excellent ways to Shake it off and step up out of the wells in which we find ourselves.

Orrin Woodward: Right Place At The Right Time

So much of success in business is being in the right place at the right time with the right people.  Orrin Woodward is currently leading the greatest leadership development TEAM.  This would be exciting enough but if you also consider the heart the TEAM's business is building leaders to build business, or more specifically e-commerce, than the possibilities are staggering.  Check out this article from www.clickz.com for an even bigger picture.

Orrin Woodward: Quote

"If you stand up and be counted, from time to time you may get yourself knocked down. But remember this: A man flattened by an opponent can get up again. A man flattened by conformity stays down for good."

Orrin Woodward: Plan Your Future

Orrin Woodward has repeatedly shown the ability to visualize his future and game plan his way to victory.  This is only one attribute that makes Orrin the great leader he is.

"Most people spend more time planning their grocery shopping than designing their future. The basic difference between people who live their dreams and those who only dream about how they would live, are the accuracy of their plans, their ability to generate new ideas, and their ability to take action."

Orrin Woodward: Proverb

As I was reading this proverb I couldn't help but visualize Orrin Woodward speaking these exact words.  The reason Orrin Woodward is so successful, and wealthy is he lives by this proverb.   The TEAM and its training system grows people, and we have only just begun.

If you want 1 year of prosperity, grow grain.

If you want 10 years of prosperity, grow trees.
If you want 100 years of prosperity, grow people.
-- old Chinese proverb
